for a while now, i've been looking for a new place to live kind of. i like this house, but it's just not adequate for what i'd like. well, i've changed my mind. it's becoming better and better for me. some things i still have problems with. here's an example.
my mom has an old piano she doesn't want anymore. it's kind of an antique i think. she's had it in her living room as long as i can remember. so she offered it to me. well, my living room is BIG enough for a piano, but we have it organized in such a way, that there's just no place for it. but we'll make a space. i guess.

i dont 'know if it's the house that's really been inadequate, or just my idea of the house. i guess what i mean is... it's just been my idea of the house that was inadequate. here's what i mean.

what i want is a place to keep my donkey, a little chicken coop, a camper, truck, and places to put them that don't make me look white trash. some place to store my motorcycle in the winter... that sort of thing.

well, i put up a fence a couple day's ago, and have had my donkey in my back yard since. there are some pine tree's that ruin my lawn and my life. those things will go as soon as i pull up a little money (much less expensive than you think, to have someone take them out, thanks to family) and a little dough to replace them, and line my property with tree's. poplars i think. i like poplars. they grow fast.

i have a little crappy shed, not really though, i have a skeleton of a shed because i'm not really smart enough to frame, nor do i have experience, nor have i had the money to finish it. so there is a little area which is covered that i keep my lawn mower in, and above it is just the rest of the skeleton. well, that upper part is a perfect spot to hang my canoe. and i can compartmentalize the rest. one little area will house my motorcycle this winter. one will keep all my pioneer gear. etc etc etc.
now the only problem was that i didn't have any wood to finish it. but the camper had a bad floor. well, not the whole floor, just where you walk in. so i have been seeking wood. i came across a little sort of windfall of wood. really just the perfect amount to finish the camper, and make a compartment or two for my tools to store.

about a year ago, i bought a truck from my friend. that truck had a little compression problem in one of the cylinders. it worked though, just a little hard to start out. but eventually it got so bad, it acted like it had a bad fuel pump. and it's been sitting ever since.
well, my friend josh had an old camper that was in the way, that he'd never use. he wanted a couple hundred off it maybe, no big deal, but couldn't get that much. so he traded it for a blazer. which he planned on taking to the recycling yard. they're paying alot of money for old cars right now for some reason. but the blazer runs. has good tires, and is not in horrible shape. but he still planned on recycling it. so i've traded him my truck for him to recycle for this blazer. hopefully it will run just fine for me too.
bonus: we had a bunch of scrap metal hanging around my house. so i've loaded it up into the truck, and our house is now less white trash on the outside (excluding the donkey of course)
to recap.

price of wood: 0$
price of fence: also nothing, which means the summer i don't have to worry about the donkey wearing out his welcome in someone elses pasture, and i get to see, check up on him, walk him, and brush him any time i want, just going into my back yard.
blazer: practically free too. (practically, technically, 500 big ones, but not really)

also, sarah sold her cougar. it was a sad day for her. she paid 1500 big ones for it, and then rebuilt the engine. she's had it for about 8 years, it was her first car. a pretty classic muscle car. sold. gone from her life forever.
to replace it, a camera. at least a camera i mean. that's what she's been aching for for a while, and now she has that opportunity. i guess that means we'll be taking a lot more pictures.

i just thought of something that made me sad.

silver twinkie

well, not much today. but i did look on missingmoney.com, and found that i'm owed money. also, many of my friends at least have family that are owed money too. check it out.

so here are some before pictures of my new baked potato. my silver twinkie, some call it.
that's the outside.

here are some of the inside. sarah and i are pretty excited about how it's going to look. we're re-arranging our house so we can put a full sized bed in there, but here are the pictures.
this is from the front looking back in. you can see if you look hard enough on the right in the rear where the toilet used to be, on that little platform. immediately in front of that is a shower. but i've already torn those out. (well, not that platform, it's one tough sob)
you can see it has an oven and stove

this one is the opposite, from the back looking toward the door. you can see here that is has a sink. on the right there is a furnace. but the lines leak, so it may take some time before i can have heat. above that is where i'm going to put the fridge. and you can see that platform in the front. this will be a bench, which holds utilities within (utilities meaning a shovel, axe, saw... "pioneer gear" as it were) there will be a table too, but the table and a bench will turn into a twin sized bed. i'm not sure how the table will do it, maybe it'll just be removed and put under the bed. but either way, there will be a bed there. we have to start with the inexpensive things first of course, things i won't have to buy much for, like the electricity, a fridge (i have one already i plan on using) the beds (i have wood already)paint, sanding and restaining the cabinets... etc. but the laminate flooring will have to wait, and probably the curtains will have to wait too, because my sewing machine won't sew sometimes, i really have to bother her to do it.

that is all for this one i guess. really just pictures of the last one.

you read it, you cannot unread it.

today

so, here's what i did.
i bought a camper. i've been wanting a camper for a very long time, and now i have one.
my future brother in law nate say's everything we (me and a group of friends) buys turns out to be fifty bucks. he's kind of right, here are some examples:
my bow. i found it in a pawnshop all set up for fifty bucks
my (and josh's) donkey. fifty bucks each.
my three wheeler(s) 2 3wheelers for fifty bucks.
and now, to add to that list, my camper.
it's an airstream. it's about what you'd expect for fifty bucks i guess. actually, an airstream has enough aluminum on it to recycle, and get like... three hundred bucks from. but the fella selling it just wanted it gone. i was all too happy to buy it.
since i bought it i've only done a couple of things.
the thing has been nearly gutted. the beds are out, the table, the bathroom is just holes, but now because i got it, the shower holes are gone, and the biggest difference, is when you walk in, you don't die from hauntavirus. sarah and i usually camp in a tent. it's cold, it's uneven, and the worst part is there's not a good spot for our son now. well, even if we never put a bed in this camper, or fixed it up, there are immediate advantages, we're always on level ground, we have a stove, and a great shelter. not to mention if i get foreclosed on ever... we have a place to live!
really though, all it really needs is laminate flooring, and beds, maybe i'll take a look at the heater in it, see if i can fix it, and perhaps the electricity.

i have no pictures right now, but they'll come!

i maybe sold sarahs poor old car. she bought it her sophomore year in highschool for a thousand and a half dollars, she rebuilt the engine, and has babied it along into the new century, and now, while it's not officially sold yet, we have another set of interested persons. this car is a 1967 ford mercury cougar. it's a pretty rare classic muscle car. the first year they made them. sarah loves it so much, she won't sell it unless the people promise they're restoring it to some degree.

that's my quaint little old house in the back ground! you really can't tell how white trash we are in this picture. though, if you're a city inspector, you do realize i'm violating a very sacred law in wellsville apparently, (according to all the warning letters i've got!) and that is, that we don't use that vehicle, and it's not parked in my drive way!

i'm going to put my donkey in my back yard i've decided. i'm definately going to do that. i've started to put up posts for the fence. it won't take much. also, those pine tree's have got to go. i mowed the lawn today, and was afraid. a person shouldn't have to be afraid of pain when they're mowing the lawn! but first i've got to replace them i guess. with leaved tree's. the kind that don't ruin the lawn, and my life.

i gave yodi a hair cut today. i should've had someone else do it, cause now it looks like a yodi bird was attacked and killed (and dragged off of course) by some sort of large cat, in my front yard. very large tuft of white dog "feathers" is all i'm saying. he's a very fluffy dog.
the 's doesn't stand for "he is" it stands for "he was" now you know.

sarah is gone today, having only one camera, and one vehicle, i haven't had the opportunity to upload any photo's for anyone who's interested in seeing them. nor have i been able to do anything today. probably why i was so productive around the house today.

workin' for the man II

so, i have finally the time to sit down and do this.

i've been 3 wheeling alot. almost everyday. it lets sarah have some charlie time.
so here's what happened.
i'm working at gossners...i speak to hardly anyone, then one day my boss comes to me, and say's folks been a complainin about me being mean. here's the thing, i AM mean, but THEY didn't know that! one more complaint, and i'm gone.

then i got 4 more complaints. speculations? people take comments as insults, when they are just facts. exampli gratia: if you're fat, and smell sour because of it, that's a fact. right? not meanness.... actually this one is a better example,
if a guy is from england, and he's in america, and an american tells him that a person can't trust the government, and that's how the founding fathers designed this nation, and they tell you maybe YOUR government can't be trusted, so you tell them it was the mistrust of his government that made us decide that a government wasn't to be trusted, and that the reason one can't take guns away from everybody but the government is because of that particular fact, so his theory about no guns=peace while sounding nice, can't be possible because of things which have happened in history like the holocaust, or mr stalin. and that being from england, you'd think he'd have taken that into account. then further telling him that bush may not be the most mocked president, because of all the time we've had to mock nixon.

apparently all that is an insult to his nation and way of life.

so, instead of working for the man, i'm squandering money riding a three wheeler most of the time. (heh, man, that really makes me sound like a bum... but maybe i am.. maybe i am)

so here's some pictures.

we also have a birth announcement, if you want one, email me your address. schmit_joe@hotmail.com

also, no, i have no idea why i chose schmit.

three wheeling: we bought two (me and a friend when in halfsies) for fifty bucks (not each) we fixed them up, and when we thought they were running fine, i took mine out.... it leaked oil like crazy. i'm sorry to say, i ruined the environment more than my share that day. i spread at least 10 quarts of dirty oil across the mountains that day. so we fixed that, and the next time i took it out, it died, rust in the gas tank clogged it all up. i was angry. but that was an easy fix.
so i'm riding it, and the chain i haul around with me, comes out of the back, and wraps itsself around the axle. ruins most of my plastic on that side.
and now i can't get rid of the chain, because it's pretty much welded to my rack.
we're taking nate (lila's fiance) out today. he also has a lot of stress with three wheelers, so lets hope it works out for us.

i accidently have been feeding my son soy based formula. i was mad when i finally looked. ridiculous!

i don't know if i believe it or not, especially with all the other websites out there which show research also, but it's a compelling argument, and i for one, dont' want him to be gay because of something i feed him... choice only.
